WHO WE ARE
Child Nutrition Foundation (CNF) is a Bay area based NGO, committed to raising awareness, supporting and implementing projects to fight maternal and child malnutrition in India.
We strive to combat this silent epidemic by engaging community members, grassroot workers, government resources and the health care services to implement sustainable nutrition models. We believe that employing tools and resources indigenous to the community enables sustainability and scalability.
CNF believes in holistic care to combat the malaise of malnutrition in children.
By this, we mean not just providing treatment to children already in a state of malnourishment, but preventing malnutrition by ensuring the mother receives proper nutrition and care during pregnancy. The goal is to break the multi-generational cycle of malnutrition.
WHAT WE DO
CNF implements nutrition-intervention projects in identified at-risk communities in partnership with local health workers, government and health care resources.
CNF supports reputable NGOs in India that are doing work on the ground to fight child malnutrition.
